Three Months in a Row

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good

Nader Mansour

Introduction

Living in the last days is a time of both privilege as well as responsibility. This writing is undertaken in obedience to the word of the Lord. We have a responsibility to be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks us a
reason of the hope that is in us. Our answer must be given with meekness and fear, and above all, with a heart in which the Lord is sanctified. Not only are we to give an answer but we are further admonished by God to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. It is both our privilege and responsibility to do that faithfully.

The question of how we go about this work is of vital importance. While discharging our duty we are to hold fast the faithful word as we have been taught, for it is only by sound doctrine that we can exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

The apostle instructs us to preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. It is with these thoughts in mind that I wish to examine the Lunar Sabbaths theory that seems to be gaining ground among God's people. I have personally studied the matter with a willingness to adopt it if it proves true or reject it if it proves false. As there are a number of dear friends and acquaintances who have adopted this idea I felt it would only be right to give the theory a fair hearing. Having done so I would like to share my findings as a testimony to others in the hope that it might help some soul along the way. If only one soul can be lead to the truth of the matter as a result of this study then it will have accomplished its purpose.

May God bless you as you study these things for yourself.

“When the religion of Christ is most held in contempt, when His law is
most despised, then should our zeal be the warmest and our courage and
firmness the most unflinching. To stand in defense of truth and
righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord
when champions are few--this will be our test. At this time we must gather
warmth from the coldness of others, courage from their cowardice, and
loyalty from their treason.” {Ellen White, 5T 136}

Three Months in a Row- Are These Things So?

One of the main pillars in support of the lunar Sabbaths theory is an article entitled “Three Months in a Row”. The reason I have come to this conclusion is that many lunar Sabbath enthusiasts have urged me to study this article as one of the best and most convincing presentations of that theory (among Adventists, at least). The article itself claims that it “may be the most profound study you will read that provides undeniable scriptural proof for Yahweh’s true calendar and Sabbath as regulated by the phases of the moon.”1

For this reason, I have studied the article and tested it against inspiration desiring to prove all things and see if these things are so. My findings are shared below. The article in question can be located at this link (http://www.thecreatorscalendar.com/pdfs/ThreeMonthsInARow_Exodus-Manna-Mountain.pdf)

We shall be quoting from the article and appending comments to each relevant section. We will abbreviate the “Three Months in a Row” article title as TMR article throughout the remainder of this examination.

1Quote from the introduction of the article, pp.1, 2. The full quote reads thus “Next to the Twelve Criteria of the Cross, this study may be the most profound study you will read that provides undeniable scriptural proof for Yahweh’s true calendar and Sabbath as regulated by the phases of the moon.” We will address the other study at another time. This claim highlights the importance attached to the study we are addressing here.
